- The study of people with pre-hypertension (slightly elevated blood pressure) reveals notable decreases in blood pressure after practicing yoga.
- Hatha yoga was found to decrease blood pressure – but to also increase general well-being.
- The two conditions, pre-hypertension and hypertension, are linked to an increase of stroke, heart attacks and heart failure.
