What Foods Can You Eat to Prevent Migraines?

sliced-orangeUp to 75 percent of adults in the world have reported having a headache over the last one year. One in ten of the adults have reported suffering from a migraine which lasts longer. Women were three time more likely to suffer migraines than men.

Recent research suggests that dietary changes can decrease the likelihood of experiencing a migraine. Foods that contain additives and sweeteners can cause migraines.

Consumption of whole foods without additives or preservatives is recommended.  Other foods to include in your diet are brown rice, dried and cooked fruits, green, orange, and yellow vegetables.

The foods to avoid are onions, dairy products, citrus fruits, wheat, aged cheese, eggs, chocolates, caffeine, nuts, and tomatoes.
