Craft beers refer to a spectrum of beers that include porters, stouts, barley wine beers, Indian pale ales, and hefeweizens. They account for about 12 percent of the beer market having gotten a 4 percent rise in popularity.
The Brewers Association describes a craft brewery as an independent operation following traditional brewing methods and producing more than six million barrels of beer.
However, beer is not very healthy. The craft beers have comparatively high alcohol content and extremely high calorie levels. The risk of abuse and dependence is also high with people who take beer.
Drinking alcohol in moderation is actually health. Excessive alcohol intake increases both the long-term and short-term health risks.
