A new study carried out in Denmark suggests that opting to cycle rather than to drive will lower the risk for type 2 diabetes. People who cycled to work or regularly cycle for fun were less likely to get type 2 diabetes. The findings held true even for people who began biking much later in life. It is never too late to commence cycling for better health.
Biking may appeal to large numbers of people, even those who cite a lack of time due to the fact that it can be seamlessly included in everyday activities. The Danish researchers found that the more the time spent cycling, the lower the risk of type 2 diabetes.
