– Try to slow down by accomplishing one thing at a time. Enjoy finding time and the balance to meet friends, to shop, to cook and to have fun.
– Minimize the changes to your schedule at home. Make sure that meals are served in good time and that kids go to bed as per routine.
– Make sure that you are sensitive to other people. And ask for help when you feel overwhelmed.
Adults’ stress and anxiety can affect their children and teens, the American Academy of Pediatrics noted. When adults find ways to manage their stress, however, they can help children learn how to do the same, the group said.
