A study reveals that cutting back on sweets will certainly benefit your health. Other findings were that exercising just before meal time is not good.
- Eating meals that had low carbohydrates that led to healthy metabolism.
- Consumption of three meals that contain 30 percent carbohydrates was linked to a 30 percent reduction in insulin resistance and insulin levels after meals.
- Exercising just before eating was associated with high evening blood sugar levels in women. Exercising on an empty stomach triggered the sugar- releasing hormone.
“Most Americans could easily decrease their intake of carbohydrates from foods such as fast food, junk food, sugar-sweetened soda and desserts,” said registered dietitian and exercise physiologist Samantha Heller.
