Keep Moving, Live Longer

excercises 2A study published in the Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise journal sought to understand the link between exercises and longevity in people over 50 years of age. The study that worked with participants 50 to 79 years found that people who exercise more time moving and less time sitting tended to live longer.

The people whose everyday habits included washing the dishes, walking around, and sweeping the floor tended to live longer than the people who spent the day sitting at a desk. The researchers learned that an extra 10 minutes of light activity per day of light or moderate-to-vigorous activity had even better results.
