Horror health warning? Scary Films Really Can Curdle the Blood

A study by researchers at Leiden University in the Netherlands and published in British Medical Journal Christmas edition has revealed that horror movies may lead to chilling health outcomes. The study recruited volunteers who were made to watch a horror film or a distinctly non-frightening documentary about the French wine industry. Upon analysis of their blood samples, the group that watched a horror movie had higher levels of blood-clotting protein factor VIII.
