Heel Pain: Exercises to Help with Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis, the inflammation of a ligament that runs under the soles of the feet, is a major cause of heel pain. The plantar fascia serves to connect the heel to the bones of the front of the feet. The ligament also supports the arch of the foot.

People should avoid exercises that exert a lot of force on the heel. Consider the activities that don’t cause impact to the heel such as lifting weights, rowing, and swimming.
