If you have an ear, nose or throat problem, you want a diagnosis right away. You want to know exactly what’s wrong, what your treatment options are. And because life is hectic, you need to see a doctor when your schedule permits – so you can get on with your life.
Endoscopy is a procedure we use to view a person’s ear, nose, throat, larynx and adjoining areas – and is advanced technology that provides very accurate diagnosis.
The endoscope is the device we use for this procedure — a flexible tube with a light and camera attached to it, which allows your doctor to get real-time pictures on a Colour TV monitor.
Our approach to endoscopy
We have the country’s first ORLvision USB CCD camera video-endoscope and otoscope system. This allows patients to watch their own examination via a high definition monitor or laptop on the doctor’s desk.
The CCD camera with this system gives incredibly clear views of the ear, nose, throat, larynx and adjoining areas during the procedure. We typically perform the procedure without local anaesthetic, as it causes no pain. For some patients, we use a local anaesthetic spray to provide more comfort.
Take the first step
Call our office, and schedule an appointment. The length of your appointment depends on the condition and the procedure. You can possibly take care of this on a lunch hour!
What’s the price?
Endoscopy costs £100, mostly due to sterilisation costs. If local anaesthetic is used, this costs an additional £20.
We accept self-pay patients and all insurance plans.
