Dark Chocolate Linked To Lower Risk of Diabetes, Heart Disease

Consuming a small amount of dark chocolate daily could lower the risk of diabetes and heart disease.

The study published in the British Journal of Nutrition shows that dark chocolate is the best due to its high cocoa content. As a result dark chocolate will have high amounts of flavonoids, a type of antioxidant, that prevent early onset of cell damage. The people who consumed chocolates had reduced insulin resistance and improved liver enzyme levels.
