A study funded by the National Dairy Council has found that women who consumed five or more servings of yogurt per week had a 20 percent lower risk of developing high blood pressure than women who hardly ate yogurt. Uncontrolled blood pressure can lead to stroke, blindness, heart problems, and kidney disease. Even though no one food is the magic formula to heart health, adding yogurt to diet will help reduce the long-term risk of high blood pressure in women.
