Acupuncture Reduces Hot Flashes, Night Sweats in Menopause

acupunctureAcupuncture is a traditional Chinese technique that is characterized by the stimulation of specific points of the body by insertion of thin needles through the skin.

A study published in the journal Menopause indicates that although acupuncture may not work for every other woman, it has the benefits of reducing the frequency of hot flashes and night sweats for more than six months after stoppage of treatment. The participants reported 36.7 percent fewer hot flashes per day compared to before the commencement of treatment.
